Hi, I'm a Portuguese Youtuber and I stream mobile games.
- But more importantly for our purposes, it fully works with Steam on the Mac out of the box. Just plug in the USB adapter (with a dongle, naturally) and it should work immediately.
Life on Steam with a MacBook Air. Posted by 6 hours ago. Life on Steam with a MacBook Air. So, I'll go straight to the point: I have a 2020 MacBook Air with 8GB of RAM and a i5 processor. Ideally this is far from a gaming machine, but it's been actually a pleasant surprise because I'm mostly a noob/unexperienced/casual gamer. Apart from my Big Picture gaming PC I also have Steam setup on my MBA. Here is a list of games I've played in the past with no lag or performance issues. 2012 MacBook Air - 1.8 GHz Core i7 - 4 GB DDR3 - Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB - Portal 2: runs good - Portal: runs good - Team Fortress 2: runs great - Mark of the Ninja: runs amazing.
This are the specifications of My computer:
1.8GHz Processor
256GB Storage
- 1.8GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor
- Turbo Boost up to 2.9GHz
- 8GB 1600MHz LPDDR3 memory
- 256GB SSD storage1
- Intel HD Graphics 6000
I play on the ipad and I pass the image to the computer using the quick time. And I capture that window with OBS. the only programs Ihave open to stream is the OBS, Chrome, Itunes and Quick time. (Cam is out of the reach for now)
My network is not the best, but when I use Youtube Gaming from my phone I can stream without problems in 480p. But in OBS I can't neither in 360p.
Do OBS have some specification to use the minimum CPU of the PC? does the stream quality to Youtube or Twitch influence that use?
Can someone please help me with a configuration or it's impossible to stream from my Macbook Air.
Thank you

Hello guys!
So, I'll go straight to the point: I have a 2020 MacBook Air with 8GB of RAM and a i5 processor. Ideally this is far from a gaming machine, but it's been actually a pleasant surprise because I'm mostly a noob/unexperienced/casual gamer.
I'm 27 and I probably didn't touch videogames for the most part in the last 7/8 years. I used to play CSGO during this years but I think it was about it. With quarantine I eventually downloaded Steam into my Macbook, created a new account and started an epic quest: The quest for games that my MacBook can run without setting it on fire lmao.
For a while I still fondled with the idea of grabbing a Nintendo Switch, since there's a lot of good titles and very casual games and Indies. But I came to terms with my conscience eventually: I don't really need it, because I embraced the quest I mentioned above.
So far, this is the games I already own on steam that my MacBook can run without declaring brain damage:
– Among Us (I've been playing this nonstop, I use bootcamp to play it).
– Slay the Spire (I honestly LOVE this game, it's so addictive, it's hard sometimes but its not frustrating).
– Undertale (only played for an hour)
– Banner Saga 1
– Darkest Dungeon
– Dicey Dungeons
– Don't Starve
– Do Not Feed the Monkeys
– FTL Faster than Light
I've only played the first 3 games, the rest I've just tested to see if they would run without any issues. So I can pretty much say I already have a little backlog. Here's the thing: Steam Halloween sales will be happening in the next couple of days and I have some dollars I can drop on some more games, hopefully to get me through what seems to be a hard winter approaching.
So far, I'm keeping an eye for a sale on: Stardew Valley, Terraria, Shovel Knight, Trails in the Sky, RimWorld, Shadowrun Dragonfall, Resident Evil (the original, even doe I'm not sure it'll run ok), Into the Breach.
I enjoy the feeling of grabbing this games with good sales, it makes the whole quest more interesting.
Steam Games On Macbook Air
I just realized this a pretty big post for something so simple but I wanted to give you guys some background. Anyways:
TL;DR – Have MacBook Air 2020, looking for Steam games I can play on it, can be Indies, classics, etc. hoping to use the halloween sales, casual/noob gamer. Winrar software for mac.

I was going to get Borderlands 3 on sale, but I then realised it's probably not for me, because: I dislike grinding and/or games that pretend to be action-oriented but the outcome is effectively decided by (and only by) stats - looking at you, Dragon's Dogma. Even though I liked…
